CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership to SFBC is classified as CORE Members (CM), League Members (LM) and Honorary Members (HM).

All categories are eligible to join any SFBC-sanctioned tournaments, events, public gatherings and other social events organized by the Club.

All members must be over 18 years of age at the time of application and hold valid residency in the United Arab Emirates.

1. CORE Membership (CM)

Membership is open to all Filipino citizens residing in the United Arab Emirates. All CORE members enjoy the right of suffrage and are eligible to run for an elective or appointive office.

2. League Membership (LM)

Membership is open to all Filipino citizens residing in the United Arab Emirates. LM does not enjoy the right of suffrage and are not eligible to run for an elective or appointive office. They can however, at the discretion of the Club officers, be appointed as committee members.

3. Honorary Membership (HM)

Membership is open to non-Filipino citizens residing in the United Arab Emirates. HM does not enjoy the right of suffrage and are not eligible to run for an elective or appointive office. They can however, at the discretion of the Club officers, be appointed as committee members.

Only active members enjoy the rights as stipulated above.

VALIDITY OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership is valid for one full year starting from the date of approval of membership application. Renewal of membership is done at the time the validity of membership has lapsed.

For purpose of clarification, membership status is either ACTIVE or DORMANT. Active member is defined as having paid his/her membership due. Dormant refers to a member who failed to pay his/her membership due at the time of renewal.

MEMBERSHIP FEE

Initial fee for all membership categories is set at AED 50. Renewal is AED 30.
